Shark Beach opens its doors to underserved children and children with disabilities, giving them an experience many of them may otherwise never have: a day at the beach.
The Shark Beach team transforms their facility into an unforgettable experience. They bring in fresh sand, incredible professional sand sculptors from around the world, aquatic life and touch tanks where kids can get up close with sea creatures, food, entertainment, and opportunities for the kids to play in the sand and experience something completely new.
Most importantly, these special days are provided to the children at no cost.

Each Fourth of July, Canyon, Texas, hosts one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the Texas Panhandle, centered on a parade put on by the Canyon Chamber of Commerce for roughly 70 years.
The parade usually starts around 10 a.m. at the First United Bank Center on the east end of 4th Avenue and moves west through town toward the historic downtown square, lasting about two hours. Floats from local businesses, civic groups, sports teams, and veterans roll past crowds that set out chairs and tents the day before; candy is tossed to kids, and the route is often described as shoulder to shoulder. The day also includes a Lions Club pancake breakfast, the Firecracker Mile,
AFair on the Square with well over 100 vendors, and fireworks that night at Paul Lindsey Park. Organizers and local reports generally put normal attendance in the range of about 30,000 to 40,000 people for the parade and related events, with recent years cited around 25,000 to 30,000 along the route and higher estimates, up to roughly 40,000, for the full celebration.
